Jeff Rubin Named Washington Institute Communications Director
(WASHINGTON) -- Jeff Rubin, a veteran journalist, media specialist, and communications expert, has been named The Washington Institute's director of communications, the policy think tank announced today.
In this capacity, Rubin will be responsible for all of the Institute's communications and marketing activities, including liaising with electronic and print media, expanding the Institute's web presence, and developing new ways to bring the Institute's analysis and scholarship to the marketplace of ideas. He will serve as a senior member of the Institute's leadership team.
"Jeff brings a unique range and depth of skills to The Washington Institute," says Executive Director Dr. Robert Satloff. "His role -- to maximize the reach of the analysis, ideas, and recommendations produced by the Institute's expert scholars -- is critical to fulfilling our mission: improving the quality of U.S. policy in the Middle East."
"I am thrilled to join the The Washington Institute team," says Rubin. "In these fateful days, the American government -- and the American people -- need the analysis of The Washington Institute more than ever. I look forward to serving as a key link in communicating that work to the policymakers, journalists, diplomats, and informed citizens who need it most."
Rubin brings more than two decades of experience in the fields of marketing, public policy, foreign relations, and nonprofit management to the position. In his most recent position as associate vice president of communications for Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, Rubin was responsible for all aspects of that national organization's communications at a time of extensive change and expansion.
