In Memoriam: Peter David
(WASHINGTON – May 11) The staff and associates of the Washington Institute for Near East policy are greatly saddened at death of Peter David, the Economist's Washington bureau chief, who died Thursday night in a car accident. A friend of the Institute, Mr. David participated in a panel on U.S. policy options in Syria this past Saturday at the Institute’s Weinberg Founders Conference in Leesburg, Virginia.
“Peter was a thoughtful, erudite, open-minded journalist, who understood, appreciated, and interpreted America for the Economist with subtlety and empathy,” said Institute executive director Robert Satloff.
The staff of The Washington Institute extend their sympathy to Mr. David’s family. He will be deeply missed.
