Aaron Rock-Singer is a historian of the Middle East with a focus on Egypt and Islamic movements. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton’s Department of Near Eastern Studies and is the author of Practicing Islam in Egypt: Print Media and Islamic Revival (Cambridge University Press, 2018) and In the Shade of the Sunna: Salafi Piety in the Twentieth-Century Middle East (University of California Press, 2022).
