Christine McVann, a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, was a 2020-21 military fellow at The Washington Institute's Breslauer Military Fellows Program.
Prior to her fellowship at The Washington Institute, Col. McVann was the commander of the 30th Intelligence Squadron at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, leading more than 300 intelligence analysts producing imagery, signals, and multi-source intelligence. She has served in multiple theaters and in support of numerous military operations including Operations Inherent Resolve, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Odyssey Dawn.
Col. McVann received a master's degree from Troy University in international relations and dual bachelor’s degrees in political science (BA) and management science (BS) from the University of California, San Diego. She was commissioned through the Reserve Office and Training Corps Program from San Diego State University in 2004.
