Colette Apelian has a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies and a Doctorate in Art and Architectural History from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her article contains independently financed and produced research, translations, photographs, and writing. Research includes direct observations and photographic documentation of Moroccan street protests and voting cultures in Morocco since fall 2011.
