Qubad Talabani has been deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government since 2014, having previously served as the KRG’s representative in Washington. The second son of former Iraqi president Jalal Talabani, Qubad won more votes in 2018 than any other Iraqi parliamentary candidate, running on a platform of stability, jobs, and improved services.
