Dr. Rahaf Aldoughli is a lecturer in Middle East and North African studies at Lancaster University. She is author of the book Romanticizing Masculinity in Baathist Syria: Gender, Identity and Ideology and has been working on another project related to different Syrian factions and fighters that fought the former Assad regime.
