Rob Waller is the U.S. consul-general in Erbil, America’s top diplomat to the Kurdistan Region. A career member of the senior foreign service, he previously directed the State Department’s Office of Iraq Affairs and served as acting deputy assistant secretary for Iraq and Iran.
