Russell Travers is acting director of the National Counterterrorism Center, a position he assumed in August 2019. He has also held other leadership positions within NCTC, including deputy director, senior counselor to the director, acting director of the Office of Data Strategy and Innovation, and chief data officer for both NCTC and ODNI. He previously served in positions at the National Security Council, National Intelligence Council, Defense Intelligence Agency, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and U.S. Army.
