Said Amir Arjomand is a distinguished service professor and director of the Institute for Global Studies at Stony Brook University. His publications include the books After Khomeini: Iran under His Successors (Oxford University Press, 2009), The Turban for the Crown (Oxford, 1988), and The Shadow of God and the Hidden Imam (University of Chicago Press, 1984).
