Tesfazion Gerhelase is the founder and the leader of the Aga’azian movement, a popular Tigrinyan a national movement in Diaspora. Gerhelase wrote a thesis and lobbied Eritrean government officials for rapid industrialization and urbanization of the coastal area to stop mass exile of the Tigrinyan youth from Eritrea as a result of lifetime military conscription. He wrote columns on many platforms including the Jewish News Syndicate, and recorded many videos in the Tigrinyan language.
