Tobias Ellwood is Britain's parliamentary under secretary of state with responsibility for the Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and a Conservative member of parliament from Bournemouth East. He was first elected to Westminster in May 2005 and reelected in 2010 and 2015. Before he was appointed to his current Foreign Office role in 2014, he served as parliamentary private secretary to the defense secretary and the minister for Europe. Previously, in opposition, he was shadow minister for culture, media, and sport. Born in New York, he has a master's degree in business administration from City University Business School and served six years in the British army, in which he remains a reservist.
