Norman Roule served for thirty-four years in the CIA, managing numerous programs relating to Iran and the Middle East. From 2008 to 2017, he served as the national intelligence manager for Iran in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, responsible for overseeing policy and activities related to the Islamic Republic. He is currently a nonresident senior advisor with the Warfare, Irregular Threats, and Terrorism Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
